Description
Fire Team Relay, Saturday, December 2, 2023, 8-11:30 am at Delmar Stadium.
The HBA/HYLA Military & Veterans Committees and Combined Arms invite you to the 2nd Annual Fire Team Relay benefitting Combined Arms and the HBA/HBF/HVL Veterans Legal Initiative.
Teams of four participate in a 4-event relay, including a 1.5-mile run, a 3-mile bike, an obstacle course, and a 1-mile weighted run. Before each leg, the participant will eat an appetizer portion of food.
Register today! Sponsorships available. This event is open to the public. Military affiliation is not required. Rain or shine. No refunds.

ENTRY
Register online now through December 2. Registration by check is also available by December 1. Download the paper form on the Event Details page by selecting Registration Details. Email the form to Bonnie Simmons at bonnies@hba.org.
Creating your team? You will pay the team entry fee of $100 plus a processing fee. Please share your team name and password with your teammates so that they can join your team. Teammates will checkout at $0.
Joining an existing team? Enter your team name and password when prompted during registration. You will not be prompted for payment during final checkout, unless you selected to make an optional sponsorship or donation.
Don't have a team? Contact Sam Torres, storres@okinadams.com, to be matched to a team of individuals from the legal community.

Packets will be available at the following packet pick-up locations.
Thursday, November 30, 2-5:30 pm, Marc Whitehead and Associates, 403 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX 77007.
Saturday, December 2, 8-8:45 am, Delmar Stadium, 2020 Mangum Rd, Houston, TX 77092.
FAQs:
Is the bike provided? Yes, we will have bikes for the team member who is doing the 3 mile ride if requested. Feel free to bring your own bike if preferred.
What is the weighted run? This will include wearing a 20 lb. weighted backpack or vest provided by the event and running a designated 1-mile course.
What is the obstacle course? A weight will be carried through an obstacle including stairs, a balance beam, low crawl, and will include throwing the weight a specified distance.
Will parking be free? Yes, parking will be provided free of charge in the designated lot at Delmar Stadium.
Can youth under 18 participate? No, this is an adult event, but youth are welcome as spectators with adult supervision.

The Veterans Legal Initiative was established in 2008 by the Houston Bar Association, Houston Bar Foundation and Houston Volunteer Lawyers. The program provides free legal advice and legal representation to U.S. veterans. Any veteran, or spouse of a deceased veteran, can get advice and counsel.
