Description
The Big Ole Medal Run is a fun race with medals way bigger than they should be! The Big Ole Medal Run celebrates that thing we all really want...the bling. 5K runners will receive a 5-inch medal at the finish line and you 15K all stars will walk away with a whopping 9 inches of glory hanging around your neck! Set on the beautiful trails of the Little Elm Lakeshore Trail, this is a flat, fast, and fun race you won't want to miss out on. Space is limited and once it sells out, registration will fully close and that's all she wrote for this year.
Beneficiary: Nickel From Nicole
"Nickel from Nicole" is a local non-profit whose mission is to promote safe driving awareness to teenagers. The non-profit was born out of tragedy when the LeGrow family lost their 16 year old daughter, Nicole, in a senseless car accident in 2010. Approximately 500,000 teens are seriously injured in car accidents every year, and on average 5,000 teens are killed, making car crashes the leading cause of death among teenagers in America. This is the 10th year "Nickel from Nicole" has involved the community in a fundraising event from which, proceeds have allowed them to spread their message across the USA and beyond! We are honored to dedicate this event to "Nickel from Nicole". I hope you'll join us as we "Save Lives One Nickel at Time"
Awards
Overall Male and Female winners along with Masters Male and Female winners will receive awards as well as the first three in all age groups in ten year increments starting at 9 and under and going to 70 and over.
All finishers will receive a medal at the finish line.
Packet Pickup
Family and/or friends can pick your packet up for you if you are unable to do so yourself.

Please plan on arriving to give yourself plenty of time to pick your packet up on race day morning. There is NO GUARANTEE that your packet will be available after 7:00 a.m. on race day.

Instructions:
Email racechiptiming@gmail.com with the name of the participant and distance desired (15k or 5K)
Receive a printable or emailable electronic gift certificate for the runner
They simply present it to the registration table on race day
All SWAG for the race will be presented to them before or after the race for a surprise, or they can attend packet pickup if it's more convenient.

Parking
Parking will be in the Hula Hut parking lot with overflow in the lot between Hula Hut and Hydrous Water Park. Extra parking can also be over at the lot across the pedestrian bridge toward Hurtado Barbeque.
