5th Annual Poteet Strawberry: 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk

Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join us for the 5th Annual Poteet Strawberry 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk, hosted by the TRICITY ROAD WARRIORS (TCRW) on Saturday, April 5, 2025! This exciting event marks the kickoff to the much-anticipated Poteet Rotary Strawberry Shift, Battle of the Bands, and the renowned Poteet Strawberry Festival, making it a perfect way to celebrate our community and the vibrant spirit of spring.

As a nonprofit organization, TCRW is dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and the joy of movement while raising funds for our Scholarship Fund, the Beautiful You Project, and other initiatives.  This year's Strawberry Run/Walk promises to be unforgettable, featuring special appearances by the beloved Poteet Strawberry Festival mascots, Ruby and Freckles, as well as the 2nd Annual Car & Bike Show presented by 74 Lube & Inspection, the Grange Art Show, and a variety of vendors, food trucks and giveaways. Don't miss the chance to enjoy the famous Poteet strawberries, lovingly sold by the Poteet Rotary Club.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Poteet Strawberry 5K & 1 Mile Berry Run/Walk

Children aged 10 and under must be supervised by an adult aged while participating in the 5K and 1 Mile. Please ensure that the supervising adult is also registered for the event. Thank you for understanding!

MEDALS:
To earn your FINISHERS MEDAL, you must complete the distance you registered for and cross the finish line.

MEDALS TO THE FIRST 200 FINISHERS & T-SHIRTS TO THE FIRST 200 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS. YOU MUST START AND FINISH THE DISTANCE YOU SIGNED UP FOR.

 Remember, FINISHERS MEDALS must be earned!"

TEAM TROPHY:
The TEAM TROPHY will be awarded to the LARGEST TEAM registered.  Start assembling your teams now!  Designate a team leader to register first and create a team name. The team leader will inform teammates about what to look for during the signup process. Best of luck to all the teams!  Who will take home the 2025 TEAM TROPHY?

COURSE:
The Poteet Strawberry 5K course is an OPEN COURSE. Please be aware that there may be traffic, so exercise caution while running/walking.

The 5K course goes through the Poteet Strawberry Grounds and goes out onto Amphion Rd., taking you to the countryside. There will be a turnaround at the halfway point and end at the Armed Forces Pavilion.  The course will be marked with mile markers.

Water will be available at the turnaround and finish. 

Refreshments will be available next to the EMS building. 

We will be providing chip timing for the 5K race only!  Results will be posted as they become available! 

AWARDS:
5K Only: 1st, 2nd 3rd Place M/F in the following age categories: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ 

TEAM AWARD will be presented after the 5K WINNERS. “DOOR PRIZES will be drawn from the tickets issued at the end of the Strawberry Run/Walk. You must be present to win.".
