Somerset Academy Brooks is located in the heart of Brooks on the South Side of
San Antonio. In an effort to promote community among parents, neighbors, and
students we are proud to be hosting our 2nd annual 5K, The Bengal Dash. Brooks
Academy values the importance of promoting healthy living and the benefits it
provides physically and mentally to our families. We are honored to be bringing this
event to the South Side community once again.

Race Day Instructions & Packet pick up
Below you will find all the information you will need for both packet pick up and race day. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out
PACKET PICK UP
Our packet pickup will be from 1pm to 6pm on Friday the 20th. All registered participants will be allowed to walk into the front entrance of the school. Please be advised that from 3 to 4pm we do get a lot of traffic due to students being released at that time

6:45 Am packet pick up at the track
7:50 Am Race Announcements
8:00 Am Race Start
9:00 Am Age Group Awards
5 year increments starting from ages 5-10,11-15,16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60 plus in female and male categories
RACE COURSE
Course will be on the sidewalks leading away from the school. We will cross over to the otherside of Global way and run back on the sidewalk until we reach the front of the school. Then we cross global way one more time and head back toward the back of the school leading to the track to cross the finish line.
PARKING INFORMATION
All Participants will be able to park in lots right next to the track for easy parking. Please follow the signs and volunteers to make sure you end up in the right sections.
IMPORTANT RACE INFORMATION
- Please make sure you are hydrating before and during the event. We hope to have a safe and fun event for you and your families but it is hot and we do not want to put any of our members in danger of heat exhaustion or dehydration.
- This is a mask optional environment since it will be out door at the track, however we do ask that you please keep social distancing and avoid any contact with those members not immediately in your family
