2020 San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup presented by OrthoNow Injury Clinic

The Race Across Texas is a virtual team run from El Paso to Beaumont. Assemble your crew of up to 10, 15 or 20 employees based on your division and start to chip away at the 815 mile (1312K) journey starting on October 4.  As participants complete miles and record the results through the race platform, their miles will count toward the team total. An online map will track each group's virtual progress across the great state of Texas and a leaderboard will display the standings each day during the competition for each division.

*Please note that this race must be completed by a participant running or walking his or her miles.
Biking, swimming, or any other movement is not allowed.

Point System
Teams receive points based on the time it takes to complete the 815 mile goal and be ranked within their division.

We canʼt let the year go by without seeing all of your creative t-shirt designs. In that spirit, weʼre adding the t-shirt contest into the scored competition. Using an online voting platform, employees and even the general public can vote daily for their favorite design. Designs must be received by September 25. Voting will begin on October 4.

Point System
Each company will then be ranked among teams within their division based on total number of votes received and earn points respectively.

Please note we will not be awarding separate division trophies for this event but instead will award points toward the Cup within each division. The voting link will be shared with teams prior to start of competition.

Participants - Unlimited, up to maximum number of local employees. 

Competition Format
All participants will have four weeks to complete and log a 5K any way.  Walk, jog, run, dribble, bike - just get moving. 

Point System
Points earned for this walk will be based on the percentage of employees who complete the 5K in comparison to the companyʼs total number of employees.

Ex. If San Antonio Sports has a total number of 50 employees and 20 complete the 5K, then San Antonio Sports will earn 40%.

Each company will then be ranked among teams within their division based on total percentage of employees who participate. This event strictly rewards participation and not results or times, so the more employees who compete, the higher your chances of earning more points.

San Antonio charities are in need of our support now, more than ever. The Charity Challenge has been
extended and will now rank donations from January 1 – October 18, 2020 to each of the six charities: Haven for Hope,
South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, University Health System Blood Donor Services, the San Antonio Food Bank,
Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio and San Antonio Sports.

Point System: The rules and scoring remain the same - each charity will rank the participating teams, within their
respective divisions, in order of their donated amounts, after which San Antonio Sports will award points toward
competition. Charity Challenge points will be tallied and available by October 30. Please make sure you specify
Corporate Cup when setting up your drive so that the charities have an accurate count.

NEW AWARD
Due to overwhelming support for this competition, we will award a Charity Challenge trophy for the first time to each division's Charity Challenge winner as a special thank you for abudant donations to our charities.
