E-Dragon Run Festival

Race week
We are so excited to be hosting another amazing E-Dragon Productions event. We look forward to having you guys out to celebrate with us on another beautiful day for some San Antonio Racing. We have some amazing give always and race entries plus so much more. Below is a detailed synapsis of the race information. 
 
Why are we hosting this event?
This is a low cost event and we are hosting it to thank all you for allowing E-Dragon Productions to be one of the main Race Organizations to host multiple events successfully in San Antonio. This race is a little different than most. 

E-Dragon has been fortunate in being able to successfully host events and print promotional items since our creation in September 2013. Through all of those years of countless early mornings, Erik Burciaga has designed multiple medals and shirts years after year. In celebration to be able to offer this for free we are setting up a few things for you to not only see but get your hands on one of those items for events. 

How Is packet pick up going to work?
Everyone that registered will be picking up the items for the event on race day at the Registration Tent at South Side Lions East park . The way packet pick up will work is when you show up you will go over to our Registration tent and they will assign a number for you to be timed. Once you pick your number you will go to the next tent which will have garments from event that we have hosted in the past. You will be able to pick a garment from the table with your size, it could be a soft cotton shirt, Drifit shirt, singlet, Long Sleeve, Hoodie or any other garment available. You can also choose not to pick an item and just get ready for your race.

Packet pick up will begin at 6am and will go till 7:30 when last event begins.

Will the event have medals for finishers?
As you cross the finish line to complete your event you will end up in front of a Medal display with 10 years worth of different medals that E-Dragon Race Director has poured his heart and soul to make. You have a chance to grab any one of them and claim it as yours. This again is to feature our 10 years of racing in the community and also to be able to host this event 100% free for you guys. The Same as the garments you can opt not to receive a medal. 
 
Will this event be timed?
Yes do to an amazing sponsorship from IAAP we will be able to chip time this event for all our participants. It cost a lot of money to be able to time an event and because we want to limit the cost we are only timing the runners that show up and not assigning race bibs to all sign ups to make sure that we only use the chips needed. So show up early and please be patient with us race day morning if you have a small line. 
 
Will you have waterstops for the races?
Yes we will have water stops throughout the course for the event. However, these are not going to be manned water stops, we will have a cooler with small water bottles that you can pick up if you need it. This being said please make sure that you do not litter on our course, so if you pick one up please carry it till you see a trash can. Water stops will be tween 1.2 to 1.7 miles away from each other. 
 
What routes are we running?
We believe the best course and path to run in all of San Antonio are on Salado creek. This beautiful path offers tons of shade and beautiful landscape all around you. It happens to be one of the only paths that is mostly made out of asphalt which is great on the legs. To make it easy and fun all course will be going out and back on Salado Creek and finishing the loop around South Side Lions east Lake. 

Half Marathon Course: Because we want to make sure that all our half-marathoners are safe and have enough support we will having them run two loops of the marked course. Each loop will be 6.55 miles.

10K turn Around: All 10k Runners will be running about the same course as the longer race except there will be turn around a little before to make sure you only run a 6.2 mile course. 

5k Turn Around: all 5k runners will start at the same place and turn around at the designated place on a salado creek

Will you be doing age group awards?
We will be doing the first female and male overall for each event with gift bag from edragon productions. 

For all other runners in the event we will be giving out random event giveaways by bib number. Must be present to win!
 
Do you need help with anything at the event?
Yes we would volunteers! Come and help out to set up and other tasks during the event. 
 
Schedule of Events
6:00Am to 7:30am Packet Pick up
7:00am - 1 Mile Start Time
7:10 am - Half Marathon Start
7:15 am - 10k Start
7:20 am - 5K start
This is a rolling schedule after the Mile begins so please be early and ready to go about 7am, we will try to get everyone out early to avoid as much of the morning heat as possible
