We are excited to announce The Animal Defense League’s Rescue Run! Our 2021 Virtual 5k.

Walk, run, or jog this 5k anytime at the location of your choice between May 22nd – May 31st and your participation will help raise funds for the abandoned, abused or neglected dogs and cats the ADL rescues in our community every day. Every runner will receive a personalized completion certificate and the top 3 winners will receive a special ADL prize!

Simply track your run using your GPS watch or run tracking app, snap a selfie, and upload to record your results before 9:00 am, June 2nd.

In 2021, the Animal Defense League of Texas became the largest true no-kill animal shelter in the South Texas region and remains the oldest rescue of its kind in the state of Texas. Last year while navigating the impact of the pandemic, ADL saved the lives of 6,633 once abandoned, abused, and neglected pets in need. We would not be able to this without amazing supporters like you! 

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for pets in need by providing needed medical care, including spaying and neutering. Food, shelter, and safety are also provided – along with compassion and attention. While maintaining a healthy and loving facility, ADL consistently works to find the best possible home for each resident animal.
