March Forth

Two months ahead of May the Fourth be with you, we are gearing up to March Forth to end child abuse and trafficking! 

Parents, uncles, friends, aunts, teachers, grandparents....any interested adult--get ready to march forth starting 3/4!

This virtual challenge includes different options--walking, running, swimming, biking...of course, hiking always counts, too!.

All proceeds from your efforts will go toward building a safe home for minor trafficking survivors--young girls who may not know what home should feel like, but need stability, love, care, and healing.

You can be a part of making a difference in their lives! You might ask, how can this help? First, by raising awareness. Just a simple share on social media after you register will help tremendously! Second, it takes significant resources to serve those who have been traumatized and abused. Your registration will help us start building a safe home to provide for survivors!

Why are we making ending child sex trafficking and abuse the focal point of this virtual challenge?

Every day in the United States, over 116,000 searches are made for child pornography, which is often made by sex traffickers as an advertisement or for money.

In 2018, 51.6% of the criminal human trafficking cases active in the US were sex trafficking cases involving only children.

Most children who are trafficked for sex work are between the ages of 12 and 14 years old. 

Another study says that 29 million reports of children being sexually exploited are made annually to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, or 563,461 reports per week!

The most conservative study on the amount of children being sexually abused in the United States sets it at ten percent. This means that one in every ten children will be physically sexually assaulted by an older youth or by an adult. This doesn't count forced exposure to pornography (a predator's favorite grooming tool), voyeurism, or other non-contact forms of abuse. 

This makes the likelihood that you have known, know, or will know a child who is being sexually abused very likely. We believe it will take a community to end the epidemic of child abuse and trafficking, just as it takes a village to raise a child. 

The best way to end evil is to stand against it, united. What are some ways we can do that?
