Welcome to the second annual Bennett's Village "A Place for All to MOVE!" Fun Roll/Walk/Dance/Run Virtual Challenge.
We've revealed the concept plan for our all-abilities playground, now let's work together to raise some money! Help us reach our event goal of $5,000 - Every penny earned will go towards funding phase 1, The Treehouse!
We're shaking it up this year and offering you TWO options to challenge yourself:
Option 1 | Get Out and Move: Our annual 1 mile event at Pen Park (or anywhere)! For more details, check out the course map below.
Option 2 | Our New Challenge: Move in any way you want to hit 10 miles in 22 days!
Our goal is to raise money to build Bennett's Village Playground with an event that is open to people of ALL abilities. Join us in either challenge: Move/Walk/Run/Roll 10 miles in 22 days in your own neighborhood or make your way along the mile-long course through Pen Park that highlights the future site of Bennett's Village Playground. Use your wheels, your feet...your hands or your whole body...whatever method you choose to complete the course in a fun and joyful manner!
This is a DIY, at-your-own-time and pace, virtual event. The event will be open for 22 days, from October 10th through October 31st. It's not a race but participants are welcome to submit times if they are challenging friends or family. We would absolutely love to receive photos, videos, or social media of your participation (tag us on social media or use our hashtag #BVMoveChallenge). Stay tuned for a fun, halloween ending celebration!
How to get involved:

- Share on social media to increase donations (see our incentives below)

Help us reach our event goal of $5,000!
- Supporters
- Participants who raise $25 (in addition to the race fee) will receive a Bennett's Village bracelet and join our "Supporter's List" to be recognized on our website and social media.
- "Social Star" Award
- The participant who increases awareness by sharing the most post posts on Facebook or Instagram (you must tag us to be recognized) will receive $30 worth of Bennett's Village merchandise
- "Boss Status" Award- The individual who leads their team to raising the most
- $50 gift card to Crozet Pizza (UVA/Charlottesville location)
- $60 worth of Bennett's Village merchandise
- Gift card to Charlottesville Ballet's Class with Clara Nutcracker event
- "Top Earner" Award- The individual who raises the most

Course Map & Photos
The course takes you through the future home of Bennett's Village. Start at the picnic shelters (turn left before the tennis courts) - you'll see a Start/Finish sign. Head toward the shelters and take the shelter access drive to the paved path that goes between the tennis courts. Follow the paved path through the open field (This will be Bennett's Village playground!!) toward the parking lot. Use the crosswalks to go toward the Meadow Creek Golf Course Clubhouse. Follow this route to the sidewalk around the clubhouse parking lot. Once you reach the Turn Around sign, you are halfway there! Turn yourselves around and head back the way you came to get another look at our fabulous site and brand new Future Home of Bennett's Village sign. Once you get back to the Finish sign at the shelters, you're all done. And you've done a great thing for Bennett's Village.
