Charlottesville Ten Miler Training Program
Description
For the 37th winter, the CTC is hosting, in person, their popular training program to help guide runners of all abilities to their personal 10 Miler goals.
Whether you're taking your first timid steps off the couch or going for a personal best, we've got you covered! The program kicks off on October 26th and will meet every Saturday morning at 8:00 next to the UVa track.
The group will be broken into 6 different program levels based on each person's individual current training regimen. First-time or out-of-shape folks are especially encouraged to join us for the 37th edition of this popular training program (close to 9,000 have participated in this program over the years).
PROGRAM MISSION: The overall goal of the program is to guide each individual to a safe and successful race and to make exercise a permanent part of each participant's lifestyle!
COACH and SUPPORT TEAM: Mark Lorenzoni has served as the Coach since the program started in 1987 and Cathie B. has volunteered as the program assistant for the past dozen years. They will be assisted by a team of experienced “Captains”, who will help guide the participant athletes through the winter months.
START DATE:
Saturday, October 26th
8:00am
COST: The total cost of the five-month program is a $10 donation to the Charlottesville Track Club
