Virginia German Shepherd Rescue 4 Mile Run/Walk & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Come out and join us on Saturday, May 11, 2019, as Virginia German Shepherd Rescue hosts its 5th Annual Fun Run/Walk! Help promote breed awareness, while supporting an organization that rehabilitates, and re-homes hundreds of German Shepherds in need, every year. 

The Fun Run will be held at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, VA. This truly is a beautiful venue, with gorgeous scenery for the whole family to enjoy! Check-in begins at 7am on the day of the race. The race itself starts at 9am, and will be staggered to accommodate participants both with, and without k9 companions. After your run, plan to stay a little longer and join us for some prizes, and refreshments. It's guaranteed to be a good time for both pup’s and people.

Virginia German Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run strictly by volunteers, all funds raised will be used to benefit the current and future dogs of our rescue. Since its inception in 2001, Virginia German Shepherd Rescue has been able to take in THOUSANDS of dogs.  Of course, this wouldn't be possible without you -the wonderful members of our community!

 PLEASE NOTE: There will be on-site registration, but a race tee shirt cannot be guaranteed for registrations past April 8th. Extra Race tee shirts will be first come first serve, all other participants will receive a standard VGSR tee shirt as a substitute.
