It's not secret that merchandise is highly anticipated option when going to a new race. Participants love sporting a new t-shirt, a souvenir cup, or a towel post race day. It also is a great marketing tool as well when they are wearing their new merch out and about. It sparks conversation with peers when they see the logo or graphic design.
There are three tools that race directors can use when creating their race to help them incorporate merchandise for their participants. Merchandise can be sold or given through giveaways, add-ons, and creating a stand alone store.
