Run Like a Girl Richmond

Join 500 women as we run, walk, and jog to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and funds for the HERA Women's Cancer Foundation!

About our charity:  HERA Women's Cancer Foundation mission is to stop the loss of women from ovarian cancer by promoting Health, Empowerment, Research, and Awareness.

Participate as an individual, join a team, or start a team!  Honor yourself or a loved one, use your girl power and create a RLaG team.  RLaG will be awarding prizes to the largest team, the team with the most spirit, and the top fundraiser.  You must register as a team to be eligible for these awards.

Schedule of Events:

• Saturday, November 21, 2015      
• Lucky Foot (new location address tba) Packet/swag pick-up and walk-up registration
• Sunday, November 22, 2015
• 7:30-8:30 am  Packet pick-up and walk-up registration at Virginia Farm Bureau, West Creek 
• 8:45 am          Warm-up
• 9:00 am          Walk/Jog/run event start
• 10:30 am        Preliminary results posted
• 10:30 am        Weldon Chafe, MD (gynecologic oncologist speaks followed by HERA representative
• 10:45 am        Award ceremony- age group awards, random prizes, and team awards

• Each participant will receive:
• Entry into the 4-mile event
• RLaG finishers custom medal
• RLaG swag
• FIT Richmond warm-up
• A chance to win random prizes from RLaG, and more!
• Post race food by Palani Drive at Virginia Farm Bureau, West Creek Parkway
• Course Information
•     4 mile course that rolls along the tree lined roads of West Creek Parkway.  There will be one water stop at about mile 2 as well as the start and finish.
• Prizes/Awards
• Awards to the top 3 in each of 12 age groups (new this fall we have added junior age groups)
• (12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+)
• Everyone registered will be eligible for random prizes
