St. Paddy's Day 5K

Date & Time: March 15, 2025, starting at 11:00 a.m.

Location: 
DPO Grille courtyard, 10 9th St., Lynchburg, VA  24504

Timing: Professionally timed by Riverside Runners. Open to ages 8 and up.

St. Paddy's Day 5K t-shirt
All participants in the 5k race will receive a custom-designed, unisex, short-sleeve, t-shirt (register by February 16th to guarantee your shirt) and a swag bag at packet pickup. Extra shirts will be ordered and available on a first-come basis at packet pickup and race day for those that register after the guaranteed deadline.

Finisher medal for all who complete the race

Post-race food and an awards ceremony

Lynchburg Road Runners Club Member Discount:  
A $5.00 discount is available to current Lynchburg Road Runners Club members. Discounts will not be given after  March 1, 2025.  Participant membership must be current with LRRC membership roster found on RunSignUp. Discount will be given at checkout automatically. Refunds and/or discounts will not be given after completing online race registration. Discount does not apply to special 12 & under pricing. The LRRC discount period is January 2, 2025 – March 1, 2025. Please note:  A LRRC discount is valid only for participants whose membership is current on race day (3/15/2025). REFUND POLICY: 
Registration fees and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entries cannot be transferred to another participant or deferred to another event, or the same event but another year. If the "in-person" event is canceled for any reason, those participants will automatically be moved to the "virtual event".

Friday, March 14, 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Riverside Runners (2480 Rivermont Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24503)

Race Day, March 15, 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. at Riverfront Park (Start/Finish, DPO Grille courtyard, 10 9th Street, Lynchburg, VA  24504)

Downtown Lynchburg, available along Jefferson Street, nearby city lots, and parking garages at 9th and Commerce Streets.

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, top Master Male & Female, as well as the top three in each age/gender category for the 5k run.
(8-12, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over).  All Finishers will receive a unique finisher medal to remember their accomplishment.

Due to construction at Riverfront Park there is a new course for the St. Paddy's Day 5K. Our start and finish will be in front of the DPO Grille, 10 9th Street, Lynchburg, Virginia. The course will proceed out & back along the Blackwater Creek Trail. Participants will also follow the Kemper Street Trail extension (approx. 1.25 mi) to a turn-around. This course is out & back.

COURSE PREVIEW & FUN RUN - THURSDAY MARCH 6TH, 6PM
A fun run, hosted by the Lynchburg Road Runners, Riverside Runners, and Park View Community Mission that will highlight the "new' St. Paddy's Day 5K course.
The course preview is a great way to familiarize yourself with the course, parking, and meet other friendly runners. The course preview is FREE and registration is not required.

Strollers: Walking participants with strollers may join, starting immediately after the main race. Please stay single-file for safety.

Headphones: For safety, headphones are not permitted.

Pets: For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on the course.
