Description
Join us for an early morning 5K run (or walk) beginning on the 50 yard line at Cosby High School's football field, winding through the Fox Club area and ending back on the 50 yard line. Enjoy the music of the Cosby Pep Band to cheer you on for a great cause! All profits go to the Earl E. Shaffer, Jr. scholarship fund giving annually to outstanding senior band students.
Prizes for the 2019 race are:
-Men's and Women's categories for 1st place - $50 gift card from Lucky Road Run Shop
-Men's and Women's categories for 2nd place - $40 gift card from Lucky Road Run Shop
-Men's and Women's categories for 3rd place - $30 gift card from Lucky Road Run Shop
Oldest Runner Man and Oldest Runner Woman - $50 gift card from Dick's Sporting Goods
1st Male Walker and 1st Female Walker - $10 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card
Youth 11-17 1 month of training with Draft Day Athletics ($147 value x 3) those that come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Youth 11-17 1st place will also get $50.00 gift card to Dick's Sporting Good
Youth 11-17 2nd and 3rd place will also get $10 Dick's Sporting Good gift card
Kids 10 and under prizes-
-youngest, fastest girl and fastest boy - $10 gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods, Chuck E. Cheese guest pass with food & drink voucher, Papa John's pizza card with free pizzas
There will also be a raffle drawing 1 hour after the race begins for:
- $100 gift certificate from Lucky Road.
- $100 gift certificate to J'adore Dance Studio, good for summer or fall registration or studio merchandise
-$50 gift card for Dicks Sporting Good x 3 (3 winners)
- lots of smaller prizes including video games, gift cards for Dick's and Chick-Fil-A, etc.
Each registered race entrant will receive 1 ticket for the raffle. Raffle tickets for more chances to win may be 'earned' by talking to our race sponsors at their booths the morning of the race. Must be present at the drawing to win.
Thank you to the Richmond Technical Center EMS Program for providing people on standby during the race in case of a medical emergency.
