Description

Staged at the Robious Landing Park in Chesterfield, VA, this event consists of three separate events: A non-draft sprint triathlon/duathlon, a youth triathlon/duathlon, and an NCAA Draft-Legal Collegiate Cup.  With the iconic river swim and beautiful bike and run course, you do not want to miss this exciting race.

Every finisher will receive a finisher’s medal.  Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female overall in the sprint triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike as well as in each age group/athena/clydesdale category for the youth & adult triathlons.

Race Options

Individual Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, & Aquabike
Sprint participants will complete a 650m downriver swim, 12mi primarily flat bike, and a 5k run consisting of trails and neighborhood roads.  Those wishing to race the duathlon will replace the first swim with a 1-mile run.

Kid's Triathlon, Duathlon, & Aquabike
Ages 15 & under will complete a 50m swim, 2mi out-and-back bike on roads closed to vehicular traffic, and a 0.75mi run on trails.  Those wishing to race the duathlon will replace the first swim with a 0.25-mile run.

NCAA Collegiate Cup
This year we have been selected as one of only 7 national NCAA Collegiate Cups.  This event is a draft-legal sprint-distance triathlon for NCAA Collegiate women.  NCAA Women will complete a 750m swim, 20k (4-lap) bike, and a 5k (2-lap) run.

Race with Purpose

At Live Red Foundation (LRF), we race with purpose as each of our events funds the important work we are doing in Richmond's lowest-opportunity neighborhoods.

LRF is a 501c3 corporation that was founded to offer free fitness programs, which teach 8 core life skills, to youth in low-opportunity communities. These programs are funded through premier youth races which promote fitness in all communities.

Do you believe in the power of fitness to transform lives?  When you race with LRF, you join us on our mission to give this to every child.  Visit our website to learn more!
