Eye Run 5K/10K

Back again for our 6th year and with a new name!  Pearisburg Eye Associates has expanded to Christiansburg and is now called Clarity Eye Care.

The Clarity Eye Run is a 5k/10K run/walk open to all runners, walkers or anyone in between.  The course starts and ends on Tazewell street in pearisburg, it is a 5K scenic circle through the town of pearisburg.   With regard to elevation, visit Cedar Rapids Iowa for dead flat and fast, the town of pearisburg offers a fair course that has some hills, much like the rest of southwest VA.   I have posted map and elevation information from a garmin gps used on the race course should you want some detail on distances and elevation.

This year packet pickup will be at Clarity Eye care in Pearisburg and in Christiansburg times to be announced.  

Awards will be given for top male and female runners including a pair of Nike Running sunglasses.  Age group awards will also be provided.   There will be some raffle items, including another pair of Nike sunglasses which any race participant will be eligible to win. 

Connection Youth Group will be available to watch children 2 and over while parents run. 

 Male and Female age groups <17, 18-23, 24-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ 

Postrace food and drinks (water, fruit granola bars, etc) will be provided at the conclusion of the race. and the Giles country club will have food and drink specials including 1 free beverage (adult or otherwise) for all race participants.  They have seating indoors or out, great place to kick back and celebrate your race finish. The Giles Country club is located about mile 1.5 of the race course.    https://www.facebook.com/GilesCountryClub/

 There will be a kids run for the little ones which is about 1/4 of a mile around a large block, participation prizes will be awarderd at the finish line.
