Description
RRRC has cancelled the River City Mile due to unforeseen circumstances.
Any runner already registered for the River City Mile will receive a full refund.
We are sorry that we had to make this decision.
RRRC hopes to get a 1-miler on the schedule for 2020, because RVA deserves its own 1-mile event.

Richmond Road Runners Club announces the inaugural River City Mile, a one-mile race that starts and ends at our new club house located on Tomlynn Street just west of Scott's Addition. The course is flat and fast, and the race is sure to be a fun time for all ages!
The race will be run in 4 heats, which will give you the opportunity to run your heat but also to watch some fun racing in the other heats:
- Girls' Mile (ages 5 - 14)
- Boys' Mile (ages 5 - 14)
- Women's Mile (ages 15 and older)
- Men's Mile (ages 15 and older)
There is a free Tot Trot 100 Yard Dash for children ages 4 and younger.
A portion of the race's proceeds will benefit UMFS, a non-profit agency offering foster care, residential treatment, and other services for high-risk children and parents.
RRRC Grand Prix and Iron Runner participants: For 2019, the River City Mile is NOT a Grand Prix race for participation or placing points. Volunteers will receive a volunteer point for a Club race.
