Description
Westbriar PTA is holding its Annual 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk at Westbriar Elementary on Saturday, May 18th. This year's event will support Scout, a Westbriar 5th grader with metastatic Ewing's sarcoma. She has endured a 12 week round of chemotherapy and amputation of her right leg through the knee, and is currently undergoing another 16 weeks of chemotherapy. The first $2,500 raised will go towards purchasing a prosthetic leg for Scout. Another $2,500 will go to Stillbrave, a childhood cancer foundation committed to providing non-medical support to children with cancer and their families. The remaining money will go to Westbriar Elementary PTA to help fund school needs.
This event is open to all Westbriar students, families, faculty, and any interested community members. Snacks and water will be available at the conclusion of the run/walk. There will be prizes, crafts, music and more. ***DEADLINE EXTENDED - Register by April 30th and you will receive a #TeamScout race t-shirt! We will race rain or shine.
**ALL students must be accompanied by a companion of at least 18 years of age. Companions must register.**

2019 Contributions
