1st Annual Navy Federal Credit Union 5K- Winchester
When: Saturday, June 8, 2024
Where: 141 Security Drive Winchester, VA 22602
The race beneficiary is Heroes on the River. Timing for this event is provided by Racine MultiSports. Awards are given for top male/female/hand cyclist or wheelchair user overall finishers and top three male/female user in each age group. Water is provided during and after the race, and food and refreshments are available at the post-race gathering.
Please Note: Registration fees are non-refundable and the race will be held rain or shine. Dogs are not eligible to participate in this year’s 5K event.

Packet Pickup
Employee Packet Pickup:
Thursday, June 6, from 11:30 am to 1 pm in Navy Federal Building 3, outside the cafeteria on the first floor.
Early Packet Pickup (anyone can attend):
Friday, June 7, from 4:30 pm to 7 pm at the Pavilion in front of Building 2.
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup
Saturday, June 8, from 7 am to 7:45 am at the Navy Federal's campus in Winchester in the race setup area.

· 7:55 am – Warm Up
· 7:58 am – National Anthem
· 8:00 am – 5K Race Starts for Wheelchair Division
· 8:02 am – 5K Race Starts for other categories
· 9:00 am – Sammie Sprint Warm Up
· 9:05 am – Sammie Sprint Starts
· 9:20 am – Awards Ceremony

Sammie Sprint
Kids 6 and under can participate in a fun, water themed sprint! In honor of our beneficiary, Heroes on the River, participants are encouraged to come with their best floaties, or fun water gear! This is free, but all children must have a registration form with a signed waiver from the parent/guardian.

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
-Top Male and Top Female Navy Federal employee finishers.
-Top Male and Top Female Wheelchair division finishers.
-Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers.
-Age Group Awards: Top 3 male and female finishers (based upon net time) in the following age groups: 5-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & up.
