Vermont's Covid Bridges Virtual Run 2021

As we are all aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has canceled most races and events over the past year. We love races, so we decided to take matters into our own (freshly sanitized) hands. Vaccine distribution is well underway and while there's the hope of in-person events in the near future, for now, for the health and safety of all, we run (or walk) virtually. The Covid Bridges Virtual Run, of any distance you choose, offers motivation to go outside, get exercise, and enjoy some fresh air after a long and extremely covid winter! Although you can participate anywhere, you may even consider planning your run or walk route through some of the picturesque Covid Bridges that Vermont is famous for (following local Covid-related travel protocol of course). Some of you may be thinking "not another virtual run!" but believe us, this one is worth it. We will send each participant the coolest and most unique race medal the pandemic has to offer, and some other cool swag, complete with covid puns! It's a Covid Pun Fun Run!

In all seriousness, this virtual event is a fundraiser for Neighborhood Connections, a health and social service agency located in Londonderry, VT. Even during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Neighborhood Connections remained open, offering support to community members in need. At a time when many other resources seemed inaccessible, Neighborhood Connections' staff and volunteers connected with individuals and families, helping them navigate through countless crises and tackle unforeseen hardships. Throughout the pandemic, we've helped connect community members with essential services to cope with unemployment, homelessness, food insecurity, abrupt school closures, and unexpected childcare needs. Funds raised from this event will help Neighborhood Connections to continue to provide support and programming for our most vulnerable neighbors and the community at large.
