Join us for our 3rd annual Shelburne 5K/10K & Half Marathon. For half marathoners leaving Shelburne Field House, you'll run south past the Shelburne Museum, Meach Cove, vineyards, an orchard, and through some gorgeous countryside before heading back north through Meach Cove, past Shelburne Farms and back to the Field House along the historic Ti Trail. This is a somewhat hilly course, but there are no killer up-hills to conquer. The course is almost entirely on quiet back country roads, with the exception of a very short portion on Route 7 where you will be protected on the sidewalk. You will love this course!
The 5K/10K portion of this race will be an out-and-back along Harbor Road. The 5K is relatively flat. The 10K has one good hill, which you are welcomed to walk up if necessary. It is steep, but fairly short.
8:00 AM - Start of the Half Marathon
9:00 AM - Start of the 5K & 10K
This race will be limited to 3-1/2 hours. The race will end at 11:30 AM regardless of distance. If you are out on the course after the time limit has passed, you will be running at your own risk because police officers and other staff/volunteers may not be available on the course. If you expect to need more time, please email gail@racevermont.com
Should this race get cancelled due to extreme weather or by order of the governor or other government official, you will have the option to either defer your registration to the following year's Shelburne 5K/10K & Half Marathon or transfer to another Racevermont.com race of equal or lesser value. We do not offer refunds for unattended races regardless of who cancels the race, and transfers/deferrals will only be offered in the event that this race is cancelled.
Race bibs and t-shirts will be available at Fleet Feet, 77 Pearl Street, Essex Junction, Vermont on Friday, May 5th from noon to 6 pm for those who would like to pick up their packet early. You are welcome to pick up a friend's race packet as long as they've already signed the waiver. Racers will receive a 15% in-store discount when picking up their race packets.
