Rock Solid Marathon, Half Marathon

The third annual Rock Solid Marathon and Half Marathon (RSM) will take place on Saturday, February 27 at 9:00 am PST in Coupeville, Washington on Whidbey Island. Both races feature an unforgettable course with winding coastal roads and scenic trails. The races start and finish at Goldie's and The Roost in the heart of historic Coupeville. The course will first take runners across the island over to the rugged beauty Ebey's Landing, and through the Kettles Trail System's windy paths. The Half Marathon will then head over to Madrona Way, passing by the the rustic wooden lodge of the Captain Whidbey Inn, before coming back into Coupeville and finishing at a party at Goldie's. The Marathon will diverge after the Kettles trails to take on a few miles of natural beach and meandering country roads of Whidbey Island, and finally along Penn Cove to converge with the Half Marathon route on Madrona Way to the finish. All runners will receive a custom race t-shirt and finisher medal.

The Goldie's and The Roost will serve as race headquarters all weekend. The upstairs bar and restaurant at The Roost will host a packet pickup and pizza parry the evening before the race, and all of Goldie's will be hopping on race day from start to finish. Race awards and speeches will take place at 3pm on Saturday.
