Description

Conquer the Mountain, Conquer The Need Of Clean Air

Are you ready for an exhilarating challenge that makes a difference? Running Up For Air - Tiger Mountain is back for its third year, and this time, it's bigger and better than ever!

The Up For Air Series is a collection of endurance events created to amplify informed dialogue and empower organizations actively working on air quality solutions. Proceeds from Up For Area events are directed at carefully selected non-profit groups who demonstrate high value influence strategies. The race platform is used to expose participants and the general public to science-based material about the importance of healthy air. All events are conducted with a minimal footprint philosophy.

Join us for a thrilling 12, 6, or 3-hour endurance challenge on the stunning Tiger Mountain in Issaquah, Washington. But this event is about more than just pushing your limits - it's about raising awareness for climate change and supporting Washington Conservation Action.

Why a winter event? Because winter is when pollutants are on the rise due to wood burning heat and long periods of car warming. It's not just unhealthy air in the Pacific Northwest during this season; we also face yearly forest fires that further pollute our air during the summer months.

By participating in Running Up For Air - Tiger Mountain, you're not only conquering the mountain but also taking a stand for the need of clean air. Together, we can make a difference and protect our environment.

So lace up your running shoes, rally your team, and join us on this extraordinary journey towards cleaner air and a brighter future! Sign up today for Running Up For Air - Tiger Mountain!

Participants will ascend Tiger Mountain and attempt to summit the mountain as many times as possible to raise awareness and money to address air quality issues affecting the Pacific Northwest. Participants are encouraged to gather pledges for each lap completed up the mountain.

Location:

Start/Finish area is at Issaquah High School. Each loop is 6 miles with 3,000+ feet of vert. We will have a warming tent, aid station with warm food, beverages and participant canopy area at the Start/Finish area, along with limited water and aid at the West Tiger 1 Hiker's Hut.
