Join us for the Nothing Down About It 5k run/walk and Kids Run, taking place Sunday, October 16th at Marymoor Park! This race is a fundraise for the Arc of Snohomish County, in conjunction with down syndrome awareness month in October.
Not only is this a great, healthy family activity, more importantly - It is a GREAT way to bring people together to raise awareness for and celebrate those with special needs in our community and how we can continue to educate and help improve the lives of those around us.
Each participant will receive a participant shirt, finishers medal, race bib, and after race snacks and goodies!
100% of race proceeds and donations will go directly to the Arc of Snohomish County, one of the largest advocacy groups in the US working for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be fully included as citizens who live, learn, work, and play in their community. And its right here in our backyard of the Pacific NW! So register today, bring your family out and enjoy this amazing run/walk at Marymoor Park!
THE CAUSE!
The Arc of Snohomish County is part of the largest community based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families - And is very near and dear to our heart.
They encompass all ages and all spectrums from autism, Down syndrome, Fragile X and various other disabilities.
The Arc fosters respect and access for individuals, giving them power to achieve a full satisfying life.
Their core values of: People First, Equity, Community, Self-Determination and Diversity not only ring home with people with developmental disabilities but should with all individuals as humans.

All funds raised from this amazing 5K fun run will go back directly to Arc of Snohomish County with the goal of continuing to make a difference in the Pacific NW for those individuals and families that seek out the support needed while trying to better themselves and the lives around them. RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP
There will be no PRE-RACE PACKET PICKUP. Packet pick up will be available day of race only, starting 1 hour prior to race.
8:00 am October 16th, 2022. Packet up pick up will close at 9:00am for the Adult 5K but will continue for the kids run until the start of that race at 10:15am.

1K Registration Prices:
$15 - Kids Run Price Through October 15th
$20 - Race Day Price October 16th
*Onsite registration will not be accepted. You will need to register via computer or smartphone prior to collecting your packet.
THE COURSE
The Nothing Down About it 5K Course will 100% be throughout running and biking trails within Marymoor Park and the city of Redmond. This 100% paved course is the perfect course for families will little ones in strollers, your 4 legged friend or your personal PR. The course, winding along the Sammamish River and Marymoor Park is the perfect course for a family stroll while supporting an amazing local cause!
VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are needed to support the Nothing Down About It 5K and race participants. Areas volunteers will support the race are:
>Race Day Packet Pickup
>Course Water and Cheering Section
>Post Run Water and Medal Distribution
Volunteers will work together to manage all the different participant areas.
Timeframe is from 7:00AM-1:00PM

WHERE IS THE EVENT LOCATED? Marymoor Park
WHEN IS THE LIVE EVENT? Sunday, October 16th, 2022
WHAT TIME IS THE EVENT? 9:00AM 5K Run Start. 10:15AM Kids Run Start
WILL THE EVENT HAS A MASS START? No, in order to ensure everyone has a safe run around Marymoor Park, we will break up the race into multiple starts that each participant will be able to decide at start time. Fast Runners to the front, and walkers will start a few minutes after. Your race time will not start until you cross the start pad under the start sign.
WHEN IS PACKET PICKUP? Race day from 8:00AM-9:00AM for the 5K. Packet pickup will remain open until 10:15AM at Marymoor Park Velodrome Pad.
DO YOU HAVE GEAR CHECK? We will not be offering gear check for the event. We encourage everyone to leave their "stuff" in their car while running.
WHERE IS PARKING? Parking for the event will be located inside Marymoor Park at Lot I, which is in front of the Velodrome and cement pad area.
WHAT'S THE COURSE? The 5K course will be an out and back run around Marymoor Park
WILL WATER STATIONS BE AVAILABLE? Yes, there will be an on-course water station. Also, we will offer bottled water at the finish line.
ARE STROLLERS OR PUPS ALLOWED? Sure, all we ask is that you stay to the edge of the course and running paths to allow others to pass. If with a pup, please make sure they are to the outside of the course at all times. Please start further to the back to not interfere with the fast runners starting first.
ONCE REGISTERED, CAN I RECEIVE A REFUND? No refunds will be given. Please contact us for emergency circumstances.
