Foxes Color Fun Run

*Any age is welcome to participate! Fun for the whole family- 3K with a shorter 1mile option.
*FREE for participants age 4 and under! Only $20 for students (ages 5-19); Adults $30 
*Get ready to be splashed in color with the Foxes Color Fun Run/Walk! 
            *Please note -- participants have the option of bypassing the color stations if they wish to stay color-free.
*Course is unpaved and NOT stroller-friendly. NO pets, please.
*No awards will be given. Self-timed, fun event.
*Participants are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt when registered before extended deadline: August 26th, 2024. (t-shirts are NOT included for ages 4 and under but may be purchased in the race store)

2:00pm - Color Fun Run/Walk Start

INCLEMENT WEATHER: Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the race in case of severe weather or other conditions. In the event of cancellation, no refunds will be issued. All events will take place rain or shine. If lightning occurs, times will be backed up in 1/2 hour increments, with cancellation determined by event officials. RACE PACKETS (t-shirt/individual color packet) will be able to be picked up should the event be cancelled.

Is color powder safe?
The colors we will be using are made with high quality cornstarch and food dyes.  All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C grade and approved by the US FDA. However the product is not designed for consumption.

Is it harmful if you inhale it?
Although all the materials are food grade we do not recommend inhaling large quantities of color powder.  Anyone who has asthma, is allergic to any of the ingredients or has any respiratory issues should exercise caution when participating in color powder events.  It should also always be used in well ventilated outdoor space.

Does color powder stain clothing?
Our color powder washes out of most clothing.  However, it can stain some materials.  100% cotton clothing is recommended and typical machine washing with stain remover, removes the stains.  We recommend removing excess powder from clothing before washing and/or applying water.

Does color powder stain skin or hair?
Just as with clothing we recommend shaking off all excess powder before exposing to water.  Normal soap and water should remove color powder from skin and hair.  Some color does tend to linger for a few days especially on blonde hair.  If you are worried about staining, we recommend applying a moisturizer to skin and coating your hair with a small amount of coconut or olive oil before the event.

Can I wear my own shirt?
Yes, that is fine.  Please wear a white cotton t-shirt if you are planning on being covered in powder.

Can I skip the Color Zones??
Yes, the Color Zones are optional you have the choice of staying on the main path without going through the Color Zones.  The Zones are optional and located at various locations in the grassy areas along the route.  There will be several color zones giving you the opportunity to receive as much or little power as you like.

Will there be a color removal station?
Yes there will be a station that you are able to brush the color off of your clothing
