Race for Your Reason - Halloween Hustle

Join us Saturday October 24th for our annual Race for Your Reason, this year with a Halloween and socially distanced twist!  We have decided to host this years race throughout the beautiful Mitchell Park at The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center in Brookfield.  This years race will have a Halloween theme giving runners/walkers an excuse to dress up in costume and sport those spooky masks while being more distanced allowing participants to chose their staggered start time (30 participants allowed to start at each 15 minute interval).  

As always our race will highlight and raise money for 5 highlighted non profits this year.  When you register you can choose one of our 5 reasons, split your registration to support all 5 causes or write in your reason (favorite non profit) that you want to race for.  

This years highlighted charities: 

• Good Friend, Inc - a local non profit working to create autism awareness, teach acceptance of differences, and foster empathy for those on the autism spectrum.
• WOVIN (Women Veteran Initiative) of the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative- supports at-risk, homeless and underemployed female veterans who face different issues and barriers than their male counterparts.
• Chasing Chad - local non profit that promotes healthier lifestyle by striving for and achieving bold fitness goals while raising money and awareness for the research and treatment of brain cancer and brain tumors. Started in honor of Chad Bordwell. 
• Pancreatic Cancer Action Network - supports research, clinical initiatives, patient services and advocacy supporting pancreatic cancer. 
• Sharon Lynne Wilson Center - Brookfield based non profit/arts center serving the community as the catalyst for lifelong discovery and exploration of the arts. 

This year runners, walkers and children of all ages are welcome to register for the 1 mile route or 5K route.  The first 200 registrants are guaranteed a custom race shirt and a swag bag full of goodies! 

Racers can select a start time they would like throughout the day.  2:00 pm and on will allow any walkers/runners/children (we just encourage runners to start in the front with walkers/strollers in the back of the pack).
