Description
It's free to join and limited to 10 contestants.
Sample up to ten different chili’s for $1 piece and vote for your favorite. You do not need to register to sample chili. We will take cash or credit at the event (after the Flannel 5K awards).
Chili’s to be “professionally” * judged. Prizes for the people’s favorite and the one judged to be best.
* OK – They will not be professional judged, but we trust their opinion
Think your chili is the best, register now, but hurry because there are only 10 spots available.
Operation Finally Home
All monies will be donated to Operation Finally Home Wisconsin. Operation FINALLY HOME provides custom-built, mortgage-free homes to wounded, ill and injured veterans and the widows of the fallen from all branches of the military and all military campaigns.
Rules
The following rules are to be adhered to by all cook-off cooks, judges and/or assistants:
1. No fee to enter.
2. All ingredients must be pre-cooked and treated prior to the event – chili is to be brought ready to eat.
3. Cooks to have a sign announcing any common food allergies or alcohol such as *this chili has peanut butter*.
4. Each participant is required to prepare a gallon of chili.
5. Contestants are responsible for supplying all of their own utensils and products related to their chili submission and maintenance of its proper temperature for serving.
6. An electrical outlet will be available for each entry and a crockpot is recommended.
Spoons and cups for use in serving chili to the general public will be provided.
Condiments will not be provided.
7. Each contestant will be assigned a “contestants’ number” and that will be used for voting.
8. Each contestant can decorate their space; it makes a difference!
9. Each contestant is responsible for policing and cleaning up the area at the end of the day and removing all items from the area. There will not be an area for cleaning of dishes. No items shall be allowed to remain after the close of the Cook-off.
10. A prize for the most popular chili and one judged to be the best.
