Lakefront Discovery Run - Saturday, October 26th 2019 - 9am 15K Start, 9:30am 5M Start
This year’s races will be held at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex in Franklin (6000 W Ryan Rd). The races will be held on Saturday, October 26th with the 15k starting at 9:00am and the 5-mile starting shortly afterward at 9:30am. Both distances will utilize out and back routes on the beautiful Oak Leaf trail. Route information can be found here: 15K and 5 Mile. Aside from the venue/route, everything else you've come to expect from the Badgerland Striders and the Lakefront Discovery Run remains the same. We’re putting together an awesome event for you including:
- a large, warm indoor space for pre-race packet pickup and post-race shenanigans
- lots of free on-site parking
- age group awards in 5-year increments for both races
- a safe beautiful course
- awards for fun and unique costume ideas
- a super comfy long sleeve shirt with a new design you’re going to love (only guaranteed for those registered by 10/15)
- post-race food, beer/soda, music, dancing and so very much fun!
Thank you for registering! We'll see you on October 26th!
Not able to run but want to partake in the fun? Lots of volunteers are needed to put on a great event, and we will make it worth your while by providing the same perks the runners get... including invitation to the awesome post race party! Volunteer link: Volunteers
