Run S'more - Mini

$75 9:00AM CDT - 9:00AM CDT Price increases after March 29, 2020 at 11:59pm CDT
Description

This is your opportunity to run with your team for 24 hours and cheer them on the entire time.

Ok, at some point you might want to take a nap but that is up to you. Run it competitively or run it socially. We will cheer you on regardless! We even have camping, bonfires, s'mores, food trucks, and beer!

New for 2020 - The High School Challenge
We have added a division for high schools to compete against each other. It is open for current students and alumni. The team captain should create the team and include the school's name in the team name.

Ultra Runners
Give Run S'more 24 a shot! This is a different format than most ultra distances: instead of running a set distance with set cutoff times, you can run as much or as little as you want. You'll love the support from runners, volunteers, and spectators.

The Mini S'more
Don't have 24 hours? Give the Run S'more 24 mini a shot! Just like the 24 hour run, but only 6 hours. Solo, double, four person, or six person teams. The only difference between the mini and the 24 is 18 hours. Same price, time, shirts, medals, squatch. When registering, select the Run S'more - Mini option.

When registering, you will pay for only your spot. If you are a team captain, please create the team and then let your teammates know the team name. When they register, they should select the team name you sent them. Your team will be put in the appropriate category based on the number of teammates you have. Categories are solo, double, four, six, eight or ten.

RUN FORMAT

Runners will select one team member to run the course at a time. When the team member finishes their running assignment, they will switch with another teammate in the designated transition area. Teams can switch every lap, every hour, every couple laps, every couple hours, or whatever they decide among themselves to tackle. It is 100% up to the team. The only requirement is to make runner exchanges in the designated transition area.

The course is a 3 mile loop through Nashotah Park. Yep, this is the loop with the rolling hills... and the Squatch.

Run the S'more 24 Mini

Two race options for 2020 - the full Run S'more 24 or the Run S'more Mini. The mini is the exact same format, but is only 6 hours long. When registering, choose the mini course. If you are running it on a team, the team captain should create a team and then members should select it when registering.

Campsites

Camping sites are available right next to the race course. All campsite coordination is through Waukesha County Parks and is not included with the registration, but is only $12.00 per night. Tents can be ordered HERE.

Awards

AWARDS: Image
Awards are determined by the number of completed laps. The more laps completed, the higher your placement. The run will start at 9:00 am Saturday, June 27th and conclude 9:00 am Sunday, June 28th. Only completed laps will count.

Course & Race Format

The course is a 3 mile loop through Nashotah Park. The trail is groomed with much of it lined with crushed wood chips. The vast majority of the course is through the woods and around the lake (watch for the Nashotah Park Sasquatch). Yep, there are some hills you will need to contend with!

Runners will select one team member to run the course at a time. When the team member finishes their running assignment, they will switch with a teammate in the designated transition area. Teams can switch every lap, every hour, every 8 hours, or choose any exchange strategy they'd like. It is 100% up to the team.

Solo Runners

For solo runners, there will be an area adjacent to the course for you to store your items. Runners are responsible for their own nutrition during the event, but we will provide water and sports drinks at one aid station. Pacers are welcome at no charge, but they must register on line.

Solo runners completing 50+ miles will receive a custom Run S'more 24 belt buckle.

Both are welcome at the event and can be on the course anytime. Why not volunteer and see your friends get chased by Squatch? We only ask that you not run with athletes. Hey, we have all kinds of events scheduled throughout the day, so bring the entire family!

Running at Night

At dusk, runners will don a headlamp or running light along with a safety vest with red blinking lights on the front and back. We'll even give you a glow stick or two to help light up the course.
