9th Annual Jump for Archie, A Community Action Event to Raise Awareness on the Fentanyl /Opioid Crisis.
The 9th Annual Jump for Archie will inspire action to change lives by fighting the fentanyl/opioid crisis while raising awareness and highlighting those making a difference! A powerful community event that helps raise the stigma and saves lives!! Powerful JUMPS in the frigid waters of Lac Labelle City Beach: Recovery Jump, Leaders Fighting the Fentanyl Crisis, First Responders/Police Officers, and finally the JUMP FOR ARCHIE & OTHERS, families who have lost their loved one to this crisis! Informative resources tables and trainings followed by a memorial vigil reading the SOFA Banner names of loved ones who lost their battle too soon.

About the Jump for Archie
On May 15, 2014, 19-year-old Archie Badura was one of the 622 people who died as a result of an opioid overdose in Wisconsin. On the day of his burial, family members jumped into water fully clothed in his memory, letting Archie know his death would not be in vain. His family later started the “Jump for Archie” action and change campaign to highlight fentanyl/opioid awareness and the toll substance use takes on families across America.

The Jump for Archie is hosted by Saving Others for Archie (SOFA) Inc. Leaders of the national awareness campaign Fentanyl America’s New “F” Word, that is saving lives daily. The mission of SOFA INC. is to serve grassroots efforts in the furtherance of substance use prevention through raising awareness of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues.
