Paws for a Cause Run / Walk

Street parking is available throughout the residential neighborhoods near Roosevelt Park. Please plan ahead, car pool, and arrive early keeping in mind you will need to park and walk to the start/finish line.

The course will begin and end along Jefferson St. Runners will head along Jefferson St toward the Lake Country Trail. Then turn onto the trail and follow that to Silver Lake St and turning around to head back to the finish.

• This event is limited to 10 year old and younger kids.
• It is not a full kilometer because they are little kids.
• All kiddos receive a finisher medal.

Walkers and families are welcome to participate! We ask that all walkers stay to the right of the road so runners can pass on the left.

There will be one aid station on course. The 5K runners will pass the aid station twice.

Everyone who is registered by 11:59 am, Monday, August 14 will be guaranteed a custom cotton unisex t-shirt. After that, t-shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis. About T-Shirts.

You do not need to print it, but we will need to scan the QR code on the email receipt, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library. We strongly encourage you to pick up your packet early.

Picking up more than one packet
If you are picking up for more than a couple people, please do the following:
1. Put all of their QR codes on one sheet of paper OR
2. Write all of their names on one sheet of paper (last name, first name, tshirt).

That will make your life a whole lot easier when you go to hand out the info to your team.

Can I pick up another person's packet? Yes
Do I need an ID? Do pigs fly? Nope
Can I register at packet pickup? Yep
Can I pick up my packet race day? Yep
Can I transfer my race to someone else before the race? Yep

Of course you can bring Fido, but Fido can only be on the asphalt/concrete. Pets cannot be on the grass per city ordinance, and you don't want to be that guy that gets the event cancelled. If Fido is found violating the city ordinance, both you and Fido will be asked to leave and put on the naughty list. Trust us. You don't want to be on that list.

Your race time and result are available online after you cross the finish line - select RESULTS from the menu above. All finishers will receive a custom Ridgeway Woodworks finisher woodle.

The Average Joe & Jane Awards are back and are presented to the male and female runner who finished in the exact middle of all runners. Winners will receive a t-shirt and custom medal!

At registration checkout, you will be given the option to share to Facebook that you've registered for a super fun event with SCSE! For every 5 people you get to register for the same event using your unique link, you'll get $10 back from your registration.

We need volunteers for everything from aid station support to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance. The race is chip timed by Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC with a chip start. Your time will start when you cross the start line, and stops when you cross the finish line.

How to wear your bib.

Silver Circle Foundation, Inc 501(c)3 is dedicated to supporting the needs of our firefighters, police officers, veterans, and troops serving overseas through charitable giving, care packages, and fundraising.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Oconomowoc Police Department.

Refunds are not permitted for any reason.

The event will be held unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event. If the event is canceled, there will be no refunds. Silver Circle Sports Events has a NO REFUND policy.

Insurance is available for almost all of our events. The insurance is offered through a third party. Here is the fine print:

Registration protection options allow your race participants to get reimbursed up to 100% if they cannot attend the event for a number of reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more. Registration Protector with Required to Work has the added benefit of protection in the instance that a race participant is required to work for a covered reason.

Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Insurance benefits are underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company. AGA Service Company is the licensed producer and administrator of these plans.

Registration Protection - The insurance premium is 6.75% of the registration cost (including processing fee), with a minimum insurance premium of $7.99 per registrant.
