How Waves Work

Runners will be assigned waves based on their estimated finish time. The waves are limited to 10 people and will be assigned the day before the event. You will receive an email with your assigned wave (A-E) and assigned starting time.

Starting The Race

We ask that you stay in your vehicle until 15 minutes prior to your wave start time. Once you enter the park, please go to your assigned wave area and you will receive your bib. The waves are spaced at least 10 feet apart. There will be 10 cones in each wave and those are at least 10' apart. Runners will exit the staging area at the assigned time and make their way to the start line. Your time does not start until you cross the start line, so please stagger crossing the start line.

Passing While Racing

The road is 20' feet wide providing plenty of social spacing. Participants are asked to run single file, on the right side of the road & spaced 6 feet apart. When passing a slower participant, participants should shout “passing on your left”. The participant will pass, leave six feet, and then merge right.

Finishing The Race

The finish line has been moved to be a common start/finish line.

Once you finish, we ask that you leave immediately. Please do not wait at the finish line for someone to finish. 

It is a huge park so please maintain 6' of distance at all times.

The layout below is not to scale. This area of the park is over 5 acres, so there is plenty of room spread out.

The course is an out and back starting at Genesee Lake Road Park.

This is a chip timed event. The chip is located on the back of your bib which you will receive once you stage for your wave.

The start line will remain open throughout the race. Once your wave is released, please make your way to the start line and start your race. There is no need to toe the line at this event. Your time starts when you cross the start line. Please cross the start line only once.

Results will be posted online. There will not be a printout on site.

Sorry, due to you-know-what, we will not be having an awards ceremony. Age group medals will be available for pickup at our office or at a future event.

The shirts are cotton and will be available until we run out online. We are working on how to distribute the shirts safely and will update that info right here.

There are no aid stations and no water is available anywhere in the park. If you need water, please bring it with you.

For every three registrations, we will refund $10.00 of your registration fee. Two ways to do it.

Facebook
At registration checkout, you will be given the option to share your registration on Facebook. If 3 people register from that post, shazam we will refund $10. 

Email
On your registration receipt, there will be a registration link. Share that link and we will refund $10 for every 3 registrations.
You can find the registration link by logging into your Run Sign Up account and email the receipt to yourself. The software will keep track of friends registering from your link and Facebook post.

There is plenty of parking at the park.

You are encouraged to wear a running buff or face mask while interacting with others.

We need volunteers for everything from goody bag stuffing to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance.  All volunteers can run a future race at no charge.
