OPD Law Enforcement Mental Health & Wellness 5k

History & Mission
A committee was formed in late 2018 within the Oshkosh Police Department, whose mission is to help combat the stigma associated with law enforcement officers and mental health. Our goals are to offer our officers, non-sworn staff and law enforcement families of the Oshkosh Police Department support, education, training and awareness in mental health and resiliency. 

Community Support
By participating in this annual 5K fun run/walk, we offer members of our community a chance to help us fundraise for this important cause and help our officers/staff and family receive the help and tools they need. With these funds, the Oshkosh Police Department plans on using the proceeds for:

-Education/training on physical/mental/emotional health
-Law Enforcement resiliency training
-Speakers related to mental health & wellness

September 9th, 2022: FRIDAY NIGHT - Early Bird Registration / Packet Pickup - Oshkosh Police Department, 420 Jackson Street, Oshkosh, WI
3:30 PM - Early bird registration/packet pickup
September 10th, 2022: SATURDAY SCHEDULE at Menominee Park:
7:30 AM - Registration & Check In
8:45 AM- Welcome
9:00 AM - 5K Kick Off

The OPD Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness 5k is a family friendly fun run/walk event for any age! Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female participants, as well as the top three youth participants who are 12 years old and under for our in person race. We are also giving medals to our top three participants in the virtual race, regardless of age/sex. Every participant will receive a t-shirt so long as they register before our cut off date listed below.

Pricing is as follows:
-Ages 13 and up $30.00
-Ages 5 to 12 $15.00
-Ages 4 and under are FREE. (Please be advised, no t-shirt is included for 4 and under participants).

Please note: Registration with a t-shirt guaranteed will be open until August 5th, 2022 at 12 PM. After this, a reduced price will be available and t-shirts will be available for purchase at a later date.

There is a $5.00 shipping fee with those who choose to participate in the virtual race that is added to the price automatically.
