5K Run/Walk Race & Kids’ 50-Meter Gobble Dash

The Junior Woman’s Club of Mequon-Thiensville (JWC-MT) is proud to host the 15th Annual 5K Turkey Trot & Gobble Gallop. The morning’s events include a chip timed 5K run/walk through the scenic Village of Thiensville and a FREE 50-meter dash for kids 12 & younger. Proceeds from this year’s event will help the following beneficiaries: Family Sharing, Frank L. Weyenberg Library, Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County and Possibility Playground.

LOCATION:

Thiensville Village Park: Start at intersection of Vernon and Riverview. Finish line will be outside of Thiensville Fire Station

REGISTRATION FEES: (A small fee will be added for online credit card processing) 

$25.00 – Through Nov. 1st                   

$30.00 – Nov. 2nd through Nov. 27th

$35.00 Same Day Registration Thanksgiving morning (We will be accepting credit cards for in person registrations at packet pick-up on Wednesday as well as day of registrations on Thursday)

T-SHIRT UPGRADE:

You can upgrade from a short sleeve to a long-sleeve t-shirt for an additional $10 if you register by 11/10/19.

**DON'T FORGET:

Order your pom-pom Turkey Trot hat and Mila’s signature pumpkin cake roll when you register! Pick up your race bag at Village Park the day before the race from 12–4pm.

PACKET PICK-UP/REGISTRATION TIMES:

Wed, Nov.27th  from 12:00pm-4:00pm at the Thiensville Village Park

Thursday, Nov 28th from 7:30am-8:45am at the Thiensville Village Park

RACE DAY SCHEDULE: 

7:30am-8.45am — T-shirt/packet pick up and same day registration

9:00am — 5K Run/Walk begins

10:00am — Kids’ 50-Meter Gobble Dash Awards distributed once winners are determined

PARTICIPANT PERKS: All pre-registered runners and walkers will receive:

• 2019 Turkey Trot T-Shirt

• Complimentary refreshments throughout the morning (while supplies last).

• Day-of registrants will receive these perks while supplies last

PLEASE REMEMBER: 

We will be collecting non-perishable food donations for Family Sharing, as well as collecting new unwrapped toys on behalf of the Thiensville Police Department for for the Toys2Kids Toy Drive. Please remember to bring your donations. Bins for the donations will be located near the packet pick-up location in Village Park. Donations will be accepted on both Wednesday and Thursday. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TREMENDOUS 2018  DONATIONS – ADDITIONAL BINS WILL BE AVAILABLE THIS YEAR!! FREE – 50 Meter Gobble Gallop:     Kids 12 & younger may participate in the FREE 50 Meter Gobble Gallop at 10am!

RESTRICTIONS:

Strollers welcome; for everyone’s safety, please no earphones on the race course.
