We thank you all for your continued support during these unpredictable times and hope you are all staying safe and healthy. In an effort to follow through with our mission of raising awareness and funds for ovarian cancer and survivors while being mindful of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ray of Hope for Ovarian Cancer Cure will be hosting a virtual 5K run/walk throughout the month of September. We have chosen the entire month of September due to its significance as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
If you previously registered for the event, please let us know if you would rather join us for our virtual race in September or if you would like to have the entire registration fee returned with one of the options below.
Additional race information can be found at https://rayofhoperun.com/.
Registration will be open now through September 30th. The cost of registration will be $25 with a race t-shirt or $20 without a t-shirt. Register before August 2nd to receive your race packet and t-shirt in the first week of September. A second t-shirt order will be placed on October 1st for participants who register after August 2nd. To save on expenses in order to donate the maximum amount to ovarian cancer research, race packets will be dropped off at Milwaukee area homes. For those living outside of the Milwaukee area, your race packet will be mailed.
Complete your 5K run or 2K walk anytime during the month of September.
Runners please join our Ray of Hope Run for Ovarian Cancer Cure Strava Running Club and upload your 5K race to Strava to be in contention for a top finisher prize. Be sure to tag your run as a race upon uploading it by editing the activity (directions can be found here). Please download the Strava app and record your run or sync Strava to your GPS running device. Directions for uploading activities to Strava can be found here. The top three male and female finishers under 50 and the top three male and female finishers over 50 will each win a prize. You must upload your run to our Strava Running Club to be in contention for the top finisher prizes. If you do not wish to be in contention for a prize you do not have to upload your run to Strava.
Take a picture showing your support of ovarian cancer awareness month or completing your run/walk. Teal is the ovarian cancer awareness color.
