paws4vets Memorial Day Hike

Join paws4vets for their Memorial Day Hike at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Help us bring awareness to the 22 veterans who take their own lives each day, by hiking 22 miles individually or as a team. The hike will take place over 2 days starting at John Brown's Fort and ending at Bear Chase Brewing Company.

Not in the West Virginia area, but still interested in participating? We have a virtual option for you! Hike at your local state or national park with a group of friends. Hike can be completed as a relay team!

Once registered each hiker, in person or virtual, will have their own donation page to share with friends and family to collect pledges starting now through the end of the hike. The Top 3 Hikers with the most pledges at the end of the weekend will win prizes. 

Registration includes a t-shirt that will be mailed to you before the hike weekend. After the hike is complete hikers that reached their pledge goal will receive extra prizes!

If you will be hiking in person with our group on May 29th and May 30th we have a 4 camping pads available for the halfway point, this will allow for 8 tents total. For those that do not wish to camp over night we will have a volunteer to pick up at the end of Day 1 and drop off at the start of Day 2. There are many Air BnB's in Harper's Ferry, a Holiday Inn as well as hotels in the Charlestown, WV area.
