Inua 5k Run and Walk

Sat February 25, 2023

Here are the answers to some of our most popular questions:

Is this a timed event?

Yes.  This is a chip timed event.  Each runner will receive a designated bib with a timing device on the back of the bib.  Race results will be available at the finish line and online after the race.

Do I have to run the 5k or can I walk leisurely with friends?

Walkers and runners alike are encouraged to join us at the Inua 5k!  We just ask that all participants line up at the starting line based on anticipated pace and finish time.

Will I have to wear a face mask while running/walking or at the finish line?

We don't know the answer to that yet.  We will work closely with local authorities and follow all local and federal guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.  Official rules on this will be posted the week of the 5k.

I registered for the in-person event, however I want to participate virtually.  Can I switch my registration?

Yes!  We are happy to allow people to transfer from in-person to virtual if you are unable to join us on race day.  Please email the race director to let us know your plans.  Because this event is intended to raise money for Inua Partners in Hope we are unable to offer refunds for any pricing differences; however, we are happy to mail your race packet to you free of charge if you make a last minute adjustment to your plans. Be sure to include your mailing address in the email to us.

I would love to pay for a friend or family member to run the race.  Do you offer gift certificates or vouchers that we can give people?

Yes!  We are excited to offer vouchers this year to allow people to purchase race entries for others.  Simply email the race director with the name and age (for appropriate pricing) of the participant and a voucher will be created on your behalf.  Payment instructions will be emailed to you and upon receipt of payment, you will be emailed a printable voucher that you can give to your friends or family with information about the race.

Can I bring my dog to the race?

While we all love our furry family members, it's best that you leave your dogs (or other pets) at home for the safety of all.
