- To avoid the race morning lines, pick up your packet early!
- Friday, September 18, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 19, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Participants are welcome to pick up for friends and family!
- Even if you can no longer make the event, you can still pick up your packet at the packet pickup!
- Packets will not be mailed out after the race. If you don't anticipate being able to make the race, please come early to packet pick up or have a friend or family member pick up for you.
- If you have signed up for the virtual race, you can pick your packet up during packet pick-up or event day. Only those who registered and paid to have their packets mailed, will be mailed after race day.
There is limited parking at the After Party site located at 8333 Rockside Rd., Valley View. Parking is first come, first serve.
There is additional parking off Sweet Valley Dr., Valley View and will be marked.
All parking is free!
Yes! But we recommend purchasing your tickets before race weekend. Race weekend, the registration increases by $5.00.
Effective Friday, September 18, 2026 through Sunday, September 20, 2026, registration is $45.00 per person. Kids 10 and under are free. Kids recieve a goodie bag but not a t-shirt or finisher medal.
All 5K and 1 Mile participants receive a finisher medal!
Special awards will be provided to the following categories:
- 5k -Top Male/Female Finisher
- Best dressed Porta Potty aka Master of the Throne
Dog Contests
- Best (dog) senior swagger (7+ years)
- Best dog trick
- Longest sit and stay
- Best dressed duo (hooman & dog) - get creative!
- Best puppy eyes
The start/finish line is a short walk from the registration table.
You will cross over Canal Rd. and the start for both walkers and runners is at the intersection of W. Canal & Old Rockside Rd.

Yes! It is recommended to have their confirmation email handy, just to be safe!
A water stop will be located roughly half way along the 5K course for both dog and owner. Water will be available at the finish line for all.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Leashes should be no more than six feet in length while on the course. For safety reasons, “extend-a-leashes” will NOT be allowed.
- If you dog has leash or barrier reactivity, or "size" reactivity, this may not be the event for them.
- Be mindful of spacing and your dog. Please make sure you have control of your dog, giving enough space for runners and walkers to comfortably to pass.
- Participating dogs must be currently licensed with proof of rabies vaccinations. You do not need to bring proof with you; if an incident occurs, you must be able to produce proof in a reasonable amount of time.
- To keep this event safe for all: female dogs in heat are not permitted. CCAS reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone. CCAS suggests that dogs younger than six months should not participate.
- If you bring a dog(s), please be sure to clean up after them. This is very important for health and safety on the course as well as at the post-party itself. Waste disposal cans will be provided. Some poo bags will be available at the event, but please come prepared and bring some of your own.
- By bringing your dog, you assume all liability if an incident occurs either because of or towards you, your guests and your dog.
- If your dog would prefers to take things at a leisurely pace, please start either race at the back of the start line.
Porta Potties will be available near Registration/After Party. Look for signs directing to their location.
Yes! You are more than welcome to walk the 5K course. We just ask that you line up towards the back to allow the runners to head out first.
Those participating in the 5K race must finish within 1-hour, or may be asked to finish on the all-purpose path. Those who start late may not receive an official finish time.
Can't make the event but want to support the race and run/walk your 1-mile or 5K run?
- Register to participate virtually on your own time.
- Virtual participants are expected to pick their tee/medal up during early packet pick up or race day unless they have paid for it to be mailed.
- Virtual participants who will not be able to pick up at early packet pickup/race day must purchase "virtual packet mailing" for an additional $10 at check-out.
- Virtual partipants who do not pickup their items and do not pay for mailing will not recieve their items.
- Participants can even submit a virtual time if they'd like - through their RunSignUp registration page.
- Runners registered for the LIVE event can transfer to the VIRTUAL event, but packets will not be mailed.
- Deadline September 15, 2026, to transfer from LIVE to Virtual by following the transfer portal on their RunSignUp account

Unfortunately there are no refunds – similar to a concert ticket or plane ticket, all entries are non-refundable & non-transferable to future races.
However, you can transfer your entry to another person for free before packet pickup!
How do I transfer my registration?

- Log into RunSignUp and choose "Gift Transfer"
- Enter the new runner's name & email 📧
- Once registered for the new race, your entry is removed from Jog for Dogs
Yes! Pick up at early packet pickup before the race!
If you don't think you can make it you can pick up your tee/medal at early packet pick-up or send someone to pick it up for you. Packets will not be mailed after race day.
Mail-In Registration: If paying by check, mail your completed entry form (Download HERE) along with payment to Hermes Sports & Events.

Yes! At the time of packet pickup let us know when you are checking in and we will switch your event and give you the correct bib.
No. This is a road race that goes alongside the Towpath. The remainder of the event is in a large parking lot. You are responsible for your own belongs and the Event team cannot hold items for you during the race due to the size of the event.
