John Walshe came to Gulf High School in 2015 at the beginning of his sophomore year. He immediately joined cross country and was a great fit for the team. John was outgoing, funny. worked hard in practice and in his races. During his three years he improved because of his work ethic and leadership. While John was not the #1 runner, he lead by example and always showed up. John was at every long run and practice with the team and provided the team with lots of laughs either on purpose or by his silly personality.
