Yes. The event is chip-timed and results are posted “instant/online.”
Participants get their choice of a turkey hat (or other festive hat), or a long-sleeve shirt or hooded sweatshirt; custom race bib; finisher’s medal; a sweet treat (pie, donut, or cookie); refreshments and snacks; and race-bag goodies.
Yes. If you choose a hat or tutu as your giveaway item, you’ll pick style/color during packet pickup. Additional items can be purchased online during registration.
No. There is no early packet pickup. Packet pickup and race-day registration will be on the morning of the race, under the pavilion at the Johnstown Trail Head. It opens at 8:15 AM.

To guarantee receipt of a long-sleeve shirt or hooded sweatshirt in your preferred size, you must register by 1:00 PM on November 11. After that, size or color may be limited
Yes. On-site registration opens at 8:15 AM at packet pickup. Shirt/gear availability may be limited.
Yes — the event is dog-friendly, and strollers are permitted. Dogs must be leashed, and a dog-water station will be available at the finish line.
They are allowed — but strongly not recommended. Participants are responsible for maintaining awareness of hazards (there are multiple country road crossings) and marshals’ instructions
Yes. Water stops are provided at the turnaround points for each distance: Thus, the 5K has one water stop (midpoint), the 10K has 3 aid stations, and the Half Marathon has a total of 6, as that aid station is located just over a ¼ mile before the turnaround. Gatorade and Jolly Ranchers will be available at the 10k and Half Marathon aid stations.
Course maps are available via links on the event page (for Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, Kids Run
Timing ends and the course closes at 12:45 PM (3.5-hour limit for the Half Marathon). All race distances will be open until the course closes.
The run will proceed rain, snow, or shine. However, delays or adjustments may occur under dangerous conditions (e.g., lightning).
Yes. Everyone who completes the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon receives a finisher’s medal.
Age group results will be posted online with the official race results, but there is no formal awards ceremony. Finisher medals are provided for each race distance.
Age groups: 9 & under, 10–14, 15–19, then in 5-year increments from 20–24 up to 90+.
Kids Fun Run participants may choose a “with swag” option (includes long-sleeve shirt, medal, bib) or a “no swag” option (free before certain date, small fee later). All Kids Run Run participants get a sweet treat when they have finished their race.
Virtual runners receive a turkey hat (or other hat), or shirt/hoodie, race bib, and finishers medal — mailed if registered by the packet-mailing deadline of November 17. They can submit their times online until December 31.
Notify the nearest course marshal or dial 911 in case of emergency. Marshals are stationed on course.
Yes. Parking is available at the event location. If full, there are two adjacent lots: near Johnstown Mill and TAC (off Track St), and a gravel lot at Johnstown Dog Park (100 E Douglas St). Street parking may also be available — but PLEASE avoid parking on grass
Yes — race-day registration is available, though swag/gear availability may be limited.
Packets for virtual participants will be mailed. If registered by the packet-mailing deadline (per event page), mailing occurs so participants receive items around Thanksgiving. If after the deadline, mailing will occur as time allows.
Results (chip-timed) are posted online shortly after the race. Age group standings are included
