The Judgment Day Half Marathon course is one we are sure you will enjoy. You will start above Bakersfield at Lake Ming and run along the bluffs of Bakersfield. The course will continue past Bakersfield College and then hit the flat streets of downtown and end at Sam Lynn Ball Park.
This is a point-to-point race. The start line is located at Lake Ming past the eastern boat launch area. Lake Ming is located approximately 10 miles east of Bakersfield. Most runners utilize our bus shuttle service from the Finish Line (Same Lynn Ball Park) to the Start Line.
Race-day packet pick-up/sign up, drop bag check, porta potties and water are also located here.
The finish line is located inside of Sam Lynn Park. This historical baseball diamond is located at: 4009 Chester Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301
There will be aid stations with fully stocked tables of water (chilled), electrolyte drink (starting at mile 4.25), and first aid supplies at (approximate) miles 2, 4.25, 6.5, 8.5, 10, and 12.Restrooms will be available at mile 4.25, 6.5, 8.5, 10 and 12.
To enter this half marathon you must be able to complete it in 3 1/2 hours and keep a 16:00 min./mile pace or better. Casual walkers are not permitted in the race due to this time limit. If you cannot keep the required pace you will not be guaranteed course supervision.
In the event you cannot finish the race, or fall behind the 16 min/mile pace, please make your way to the nearest aid station and ask for assistance. We will also have a vehicle following the final runner/walker and pick up at each aid station.
