Participants registered for the full Kanawha Valley 5K Winter Series receive a series hoodie and may also purchase a race shirt separately.

No, this race does not offer individual race finisher medals. However, participants who register for the Kanawha Valley 5K Winter Series bundle will receive a series medal!

No. Volunteers and police officers will monitor the course. Remember that you still need to be prepared for the unexpected whenever you run. Not all drivers pay attention even with these precautions.

To help out the city of Nitro with traffic - we make the 5K a RUN ONLY event. We also ask that all participants get on sidewalks where available if you do have to walk.

If you would like a walk option - there is a 1 Mile Out/Back Course. If you are interested in walking with a shelter dog, please answer "YES" to that question during registration.
