Celebrating 45 years, the annual Bonner Springs Rotary Club Tiblow Trot 2K fun walk, 5K and challenging 5 mile run takes place during Tiblow Days, Bonner Springs' largest annual community festival. All funds raised go toward Bonner Springs High School scholarships and the Rotary’s Polio Plus Program to end Polio worldwide. The race begins at the clock tower in front of Harrington's Funeral Home at 214 Oak Street in Bonner Springs. For more information, go to www.tiblowtrot.com.
Packet pickup will be held on Friday, August 26, at Ten & Two Coffee (611 W. 2nd St. Bonner Springs) from 4:30pm to 6pm. There will also be packet pickup available on race morning near the starting line from 6:00am to 6:30am.
Awards start approximately 8:15 at the clock tower. Immediately following the awards ceremony there will be a raffle drawing for prizes donated by the community. Every participant will receive a ticket at packet pick-up. Awards will be given to 5-mile and 5K 1st place finisher male and female as well as the top masters male and female finishers. All 5K and 5K mile finishers will receive a finishers medal.
Engraved medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers of each division. The age divisions are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Awards not picked up at the race will not be mailed.
If the overall winner of the 5-mile run sets a new race record, they will receive a $150 prize. The 5-mile race records are: male 24:42, female 28:57.
Only those who register by August 14 are guaranteed a participants shirt.
Parking will be available near the starting line.
