"In the spirit of the toughest animal on earth, the Honey Badger, AND one of the toughest foot races, Badwater, GoRace proudly presents our "graduate level" Honey Badger 100 Mile Ultra Road Race!"

PLEASE NOTE: All entrants must supply their own crew (minimum 1 person), vehicle, and food for the entirety of this event (no exceptions), along with a minimum of 12 gallons of water and 30lbs of ice. There will be three stationary ICE & WATER replenishing points within the first 50 miles (approx.) of the course and a roving replenishment vehicle on the back 50 miles. START & TIME LIMIT:

6 AM start; 36-hour time limit.
Competitors will be required to adhere to a 16 hour cutoff at approximately 50 miles.
These are hard deadlines. Anyone not at mile 50 by 16 hours into the race will be pulled off of the course. NO EXCEPTIONS!

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The start, finish, and a little over 7 miles are run in Cheney State Park (West Shore), approximately 6.5 miles at the beginning of the race and a little less than 1 mile at the end. Approximately 92.9 miles are run on roads in Kingman County.

AID/CREW SUPPORT:

All runners MUST provide their own crew (minimum 1 person) and vehicle, along with all food, and a minimum of 12 gallons of water and 30lbs of ice. If more than one crew member is assisting, an extra 5-gallon water cooler and large ice chest is highly encouraged. We will provide three STATIONARY ice & water replenishing points within the first 50 miles (approx.) of the course and a roving replenishment vehicle on the back 50 miles that will re-supply ice & water only to all of the crew vehicles/competitors throughout the event. It is the runner's crews full responsibility to access the stationary ice & water replenishment points on the first 50 miles (approx.) of the course.

CHECK-IN (Staging Area):

Check in and staging area (start/finish) is at the West Shore Area of Cheney State Park, KS. Packet pickup will be on Saturday morning, July 8th, from 4:30-5:30 a.m. immediately followed by a short pre-race briefing and the start of the race. Following is a link to Google Maps showing the exact location of the staging area, along with a link to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism that provides complete details on the area, along with being able to reserve a cabin (if available) or campsite (primitive & full-hookups). If not staying in the park overnight, a day use fee ($5 per vehicle) will be required.

LODGING:

Plenty of campsites (without hookups) surround the start/finish area (Giefer Creek Day Use Area), along with plenty of full-hookup campsites about one mile away.  There are also several cabins for rent (if available), along with full restroom and shower facilities in the park, as well.  Click on the link below to access the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism website for Cheney State Park (West Shore Area) for complete details and to make a reservation.  If reserving a campsite without hookups, the Giefer Hill and Harding Hill Campgrounds are right beside the start/finish line.

Closest hotel/motel lodging options are in Goddard or Kingman, both about 20 miles away from the start/finish, or plenty of lodging options in Wichita, a little over 30 miles away.
