Lighting the Way 5k

Help Brighthouse light the way to end abuse for victims of sexual and domestic violence in Hutchinson by participating in this unique 5K GLOW RUN. This is a cross country style run 650' below the earths surface in a salt mine with only glow sticks and a flashlight to light your way.  You will need to wear a helmet and bring a light.  We recommend a bike helmet. Helmets will be subject to approval by staff. Every participant will receive a Tee shirt, BIB, and glow stick additional glow sticks can be purchased online or at the event. The first 200 runners to sign up are guaranteed a medal. No one may enter under 8, 8-18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Please select a heat you want to run in. Heats are limited to the first 30 participates to sign up. If you sign up for a late heat and we experience some empty heats ahead of you, you will be moved up to an earlier heat and notified via email before race day. You will have the opportunity to time yourself by using clocks at the start and finish. 

You may run or walk this event. If you choose to walk please select a heat earlier in the day. All walkers and runners still on the course at 1PM  will be picked up and driven to the finish line. 

You will need to be at the race site 15 minutes before your selected time to pickup your race packet. If you are late you may forfeit your race time and have to wait until the end of the day to run.
