Freedom Streaker Challenge

For 2023 the Freedom Wellness Challenge is also doing a Freedom Streaker Challenge in the month of June, and proceeds go towards the walking trail in Battin Park!

Challenge Details:
Walk or run 1 mile EVERY day from June 1 to June 30, 2023! Biking, swimming, rollerblading, using your "normal everyday step count," etc., do NOT count. It must be a dedicated mile.
1 mile EVERY day-you cannot do 7 miles on Sunday and then "spread" those across the week to count as a "mile a day."
Regular training runs/walks apply to the mile/day minimum-you don't have to do a separate mile for the streak.
Your registration fee will be forfeited for those who do not complete the challenge.
Your $30 entry fee gains you the opportunity, upon completion, to have $15 of your money returned to you, plus split the forfeited money based on the group you choose AND a finisher shirt with the official event logo (shown above).
To be eligible for shirt and cash winnings, you must track your miles daily on the Strava app (refer to step 2). We trust you to be truthful in your tracking.
Walkers/runners successfully completing the Freedom Streak will be announced, and payouts made on July 8, 2023, at the Freedom Wellness Challenge.
First Step: Select the group you want to streak with....
"Nature Walkers/Runners"
-100% outdoor streaking
-OR-
"Fairweather walkers/runners"
-Any combination of indoor/outdoor streaking
Second Step:
Download the STRAVA app on your phone, watch, or tracking device. NOTE: you do NOT need to "PAY" for the Strava app when installing. When installing, bypass and use the FREE VERSION. One of our admins will follow you to verify that your mile has been completed each day according to the "group" you choose.
Technologically challenged? There is a paper option. However, you must fill out a weekly log sheet and turn it in each Friday during the month of June to Johnson State Bank during business hours. Failing to turn in your form weekly will mark you as non-completed. NO EXCEPTIONS! Log forms are available at Johnson State Bank. Each participant must determine if they will participate via Strava or paper form at registration. There will be no changing logging type after June 1, 2023.
Third Step:
Sign up below and return your completed form and fee of $30 to Johnson State Bank or Harvest Fitness by May 31, 2023, or sign up online @ runsignup.com (search for Freedom Streaker Challenge).
