Rexy Run/Walk 5K/10K and Dino Dash
The 7th Annual Rexy Run/Walk is back and in person on August 20th, 2022!
It will begin and end at Broken Arrow Park, a picturesque city park, in southeast Lawrence and will wind through the Baker Wetlands on a combination of paved concrete trails and fine gravel trails. The Rexy Run is stroller and dog friendly.
The Rexy Run is hosted by BabyJay's Legacy of Hope, a 501C based out of Lawrence that helps families with children who are fighting cancer. We help offset the extra expenses families have that are not covered by health insurance.
Details to come later.
We will have day of packet pick up, August 20th at Broken Arrow Park starting at 6:30AM.
You will be able to register for the 5K and 10K at packet pick up.
All childhood cancers combined receive less than 4% of the National Institute of Health's budget and our children with cancer deserve to have #MoreThan4. Several Kansas City area childhood cancer organizations have joined together in an effort to change that statistic through our "More Than 4 Run/Walk 5K Circuit"
Each organization hosts their own 5K in the Kansas City area and when you participate in ALL of the 5K's, you will receive a special medal for your accomplishment and you will help increase support and funding for childhood cancers. You will be making a difference for children with cancer through your participation and you will crush 20K in the process!
Below are the participating organizations, race dates, and individual registration sites. You simply register for all of the 5k's, either in person or virtually, and you will receive your special medal when you cross the finish line at the final race which is the Hope On The Hill 5K in November. Medals will be mailed to virtual runners who are not present that day to receive theirs.
Join our collaborative effort and help us raise #MoreThan4 for children with cancer.
