Description
On November 17, 2018, Kelly Freund and Samantha Proehl are hosting a fundraiser event for the Andrew Barr family from Lebo, Kansas. Andrew is a sweet 8-year-old boy that started having health problems when he was 6 months old. He loves Mickey Mouse, Superman, laughing, and has the biggest smile you have ever seen! Andrew has a TBR1 gene mutation that prevents proteins from binding correctly in his brain causing neurological problems. He also has been diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. This is a very rare form of epilepsy and is only found in about 2% of cases. There is no medication that can truly treat it. As you can imagine, the family has encountered a lot of medical expenses and will continue to do so. They have to travel out of the area regularly for medical care for Andrew. The goal of this event is to ease some of that financial stress.
The race will start and end in front of the Lebo High School registration will start at 9:00 am and the race will start at 10:00 am. There will also be a kid run/walk/
