Alert Road Race

Family friendly with something for everyone!  10K, 5K and 1 mile.  All races start and finish at the Alert Covenant Church in the country between Green and Leonardville, Kansas.  10K is a challenging course that includes 2 miles of pavement, gravel and rock backroads with beautiful rolling hills.  Observant runners will see a herd of longhorn cattle along the way.  The 5K course is out and back with a total of about a half mile on pavement with the remainder on gravel.  The mile race is out and back on pavement with some hills and is held after the other two races.  Families often run the mile together or make a challenge between members.  This race also includes the Faster Pastor Mile.  Be sure to get your pastor signed up!  The morning concludes with breakfast served by the church ladies and an awards ceremony with trophies for the top 3 male and female finishers and age group awards to 6 deep!  There are prizes for all kids who are present, runners and spectators alike.
